Parts Used Whole plant.
Medicinal Property It is diuretic and laxative. Also to treat asthma, dropsy, jaundice, intestinal inflammation and gonorrhea. Tender shoots are eaten as potherb. Root powder preparations are used in eye disease. The plain juice is antidote to rat poisoning.
Chemistry  
Description Deep-rooted perennial spreading herb. Leaves appear two in one node, one smaller than the other, upper surface green and lower surface whitish. Base of the leaves chordate. Flowers arises in short clusters on long auxiliary stalks, very small in size and reddish in color. Fruits are glandular with fine ridges.
