Medicinal Property |
A
sedative, cooling, detoxifying herb that lowers fever, relieves pain,
improves digestion and is expectorant and antibacterial. Internally used
for malaria, poisonous bits, breast cancer and arthritis. In Ayurvedic
medicine, internally for headache, catarrh and gonorrhea. Fresh leaves are
burned with grass as a fumigant against mosquitoes. |

Description |
An
aromatic large shrub or small tree of about 3 m in height with
quadrangular branches; leaves opposite, exstipulate, long petioled and
digitately 3-5 foliolate; all leaflets with petiolules. Fruits are globose
or ovoid, four seeded drupe; black when ripe. |
